We have been with Hawk host for about 16 months now. You wont find a better host out there if you would like a reliable host and excellent support, only ever used it twice and both times it was my fault. Save your self hours of looking around finding some one you will not be disappointed.

Our Past

We were originally founded in December 2004 by Tony Baird and Andrew Makridis after their experiences with web hosts were less than stellar for personal sites.  Using their knowledge in software development and system administration they officially launched Devoted Host in March 2005.

In it's first year Devoted Host became a recommended host for quality reseller accounts used by SEO experts and small web hosts looking for reliable reseller hosting that they could use without having to worry about constant down time and new features that were a year old by the time they received them on their account.

By the end of 2005 Devoted Host was now hosting over 700 domains and was continuing to expand the number of shared and reseller accounts available.  Devoted Host was now running Dual CPU servers with at least 2GB of ram in both New Jersey and Texas and had a fully functional DNS cluster running in order to move sites around in a matter of hours without a user even noticing. While many other hosts require the user to change information such as their name servers.

In the Summer of 2006 after having several hosting servers in New Jersey it had been decided due to reliability issues in New Jersey to make use of a very popular Texas datacenter which would give us much more control over servers.  By the end of July all New Jersey based servers were now in Texas and had received an upgrade to Dual AMD Opteron 248's, opposed to the 242's or dual 2.4ghz Intel Xeons used in 2005.

In December 2006 Andrew Makridis role in the company had reduced due to commitments to other business ventures. By the end of the year the remaining stock Makridis had in the company was bought by Tony Baird making Devoted Host being under one ownership.

In April 2007 the decision was made to finally consolidate all servers into a tier IV datacenter in Texas.  By the end of April 2007 the remaining servers housed in other datacenters had been moved and upgraded to Dual Opteron 248's with 4GB of ram.

On June 11th 2007 Devoted Host officially became Hawk Host in a move to rejuvenate the company by adding advanced dedicated services as well as continuing to offer shared and reseller hosting accounts.

On October 16th 2007 Hawk Host officially became a corporation in Ontario Canada. Tony Baird was announced as the first President and CEO of Hawk Host Inc.
